Designing Standards Based Interactive Whiteboard Lessons

Participants will analyze curriculum standards and use Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy to begin creating interactive whiteboard activities.

Objective: Participants will design interactive whiteboard lessons to promote higher order thinking skills.

To be successful, interactive whiteboard lessons need to be designed with the end in mind. Without closely focused learning goals, the purpose of an interactive whiteboard lesson can become unclear and expectations for student learning outcomes can be miscommunicated. When designing interactive whiteboard lessons, always ensure that the activities planned will help your students meet the intended learning objectives. Let's take a look at the steps we need to take as we create our interactive whiteboard lessons today.
